How to putt

Image result for putt lineup over ball
Keep the ball in the middle of your stance, bend over to the point where your eyes are directly over the ball, line yourself up parallel to the ball and parallel to the hole. Read the slope of the green to see where you need to putt. Take a short back swing followed by a longer front swing (depending on how far you need to put). Keep your head down throughout the swing and stay consistent!

Tee length

Depending on what club you are using at your tee shot, the tee should be at different lengths...

  • For a driver the Tee length should be at the length where the middle of the ball would be at the top of the driver.

  • For a wood or hybrid, the tee should be at the length where the middle of the ball is in the middle of the club.

  • For an Iron the tee should be at the length where the middle of the ball is at the bottom of the club.

Feet position to hit a golf ball

The first step is to make sure you are in a comfortable spot when setting up to hit the ball. Place the club behind the ball and stand at a position where you are not quite reaching to hit the ball. Your feet will position differently depending on the club you are using...
Driver = Ball at front foot
Iron = Ball in middle of feet
Wedge = ball little behind middle of feet

Proper Golf Apparel

SHIRTS:

For men, a collared shirt is the traditional and most genuine/ proper shirt to wear on a golf course. For Women, there is a bigger variety. Women do not need a collard shirt but still should wear something modest. Tank tops are the one thing usually unacceptable on any golf course.

PANTS:

The best option for men when it comes to pants are long pants or dress shorts. Jeans are commonly acceptable. Just no gym shorts. For women, dress shorts or skirts as well as long pants are acceptable as well.

SHOES:

For both men and women, tennis shoes and golf shoes are acceptable. Just no sandals or open toed shoes.
